Sunday Morning Connections
We have 13 adults Sunday School classes for all ages and stages in life on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. To find a class for you contact Rev. Amy Daniels at amy.daniels@hernandomethodist.org
Fellowship 65+
The Fellowship Sunady School class is a group of loving and caring friends, supporting each other with prayers and a study together of God’s Word for biblical truths and Christian principles for life guidance. People of any age are welcome!

Friendship Class Older Adults
A warm welcoming group who love and support each other. Teachers Beth Rogers, Myron Tollison, and Gerald Chatham lead the class in various Bible studies that encourage deep faith and understanding of scripture.

Open Door, 45-70
This group is an open door to a variety of people including singles, married couples, lifetime church members and newcomers to Hernando Methodist. Using biblically based discussions, this group joyfully shares their love of Jesus and love of one another in a friendly, fun manner.

Across Ages and Stages, Any age
A unique class designed to cover various short-term studies that people who are interested in can attend. If you do not have a Sunday School class, join us. If you do but want to attend our study temporarily, feel free. We’d love to have you!

Men's Bible Class
Rich with history, this is one of the oldest, most continuous classes. The Adult Bible Study lessons are discussed in depth while considering how they apply to current events.

New Beginnings, Ladies 55+
Small group format with a mix of scriptural study, personal sharing, and prayer. Bible studies focus on personal spiritual growth with discussion.

Pairs and Spares, 60s-80s
All are welcome, come solo or as a couple! We study the Bible as all our lessons are grounded in Scripture.

B3, Mid 30’s – 50’s Married Class
This class is mostly married but also singles. They use both lecture and class discussion style lessons based on the Bible or topical studies relevant to the class.

Orchard 40+
This group studies God’s word together and help each other follow Jesus in daily life. Many of them serve in the Youth Ministry and are active in the life of the church.

The class enjoys lively discussions based on Scripture and various studies, while rocking casually in class, sharing fellowship and friendship.

Parables in the Parlor, Upper- 20's and 30’s
We read through the Bible, one chapter at a time. The Sunday school hour is used more as a discussion than an instructor-led class. So come and spend time in God’s Word iwht us.

This class is excited to dive into scripture and unpack God’s word verse by verse; discussion based style as we seek to live out the faith daily.

Ladies Bible Study
This is a great group of ladies not just from our church but from across our area that meet together for Bible study, fellowship, and prayer. We do various small group studies throughout the year with “stand alone” studies in the summer as people travel more. All are welcomed.

Wednesday Night Bible Study
During the school year, Bro. David has a class on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:00 pm for bible study. This is a great opportunity for adults of all ages and especially those with children as they meet during the Kids Connect Wednesday night program.

DivorceCare 2025
If you or someone you know has gone through a divorce or is potentially on that road. Know that hope, help, and healing are possible through the ministry of DivorceCare. This is a 13 week class. Registration is through DivorceCare.org. Type in the zip code “38632” and select Hernando Methodist Church. Follow the instructions for registration and ordering of workbook.

GriefShare Support Group
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through a 13 week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s ‘normal’ in this season. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability; gaining solid support each step of the way.

Financial Peace
Financial Peace is a 9 week class that teaches everyone how to have a healthy attitude and lifestyle what is comes to money. In this biblically based class, you will learn how to beat debt, build wealth, and honor God with your finances. Each session will also include how to invest wisely for your future and how to give generously; Stewarding what God has entrusted to you.

Freedom Prayer
Freedom Prayer is a personal prayer ministry that exists to help with the process of recognizing and resolving anything that would keep us from an abiding relationship with God. It is a “first responder” ministry, focused on equipping individuals to prayerfully examine with God fundamental emotional and spiritual needs that hinder their Christian walk. Wounding, sin, ungodly beliefs and entanglements can create strongholds that cause continual struggle with God and others. Freedom Prayer exists to provide solid biblical reconciliation and restoration, that promotes a healthy prayer life and disciples individuals into a whole and abiding relationship with God. Traditionally, these prayer times occur in small groups of three people within a church team framework.

Foundation
Freedom Prayer is a biblically-based personal prayer ministry approach founded in reconciliation and restoration before God. Implemented in churches, non-profit ministries and therapeutic settings, Freedom Prayer appropriates the finished work of the cross to help others find freedom from sin, pain, strongholds and limiting beliefs that hinder a fruitful and fulfilling relationship with the Lord.
Biblical Foundation
While God can meet us anytime in any way, he’s made a promise that when two or more of us gather in his name, that he blesses us with his presence (Matt. 18:20).When we wait on him together, we can confidently expect him to reveal himself and, as our hearts are tender and open to him, we can trust he will guide us into truth (John 16:13).
Biblical Framework
This ministry uses a biblical framework to give the Holy Spirit room to address inner hurts and wounds, identify and break strongholds, and bring healing and freedom, all with the purpose of knowing God better (Eph. 1:17).
Who Is Freedom Prayer?
Freedom Prayer is a network of teams, churches, organizations and individuals who are first committed to the goal of personal freedom and then to the great privilege of helping their family, friends, churches and communities find freedom in Christ. Freedom Prayer operates as a multi-denominational family, with local Freedom Prayer teams existing in a variety of churches all over the world as a 5013-c nonprofit.
